Standing Committee Report
SUNY Auxiliary Services Association Report
January 20, 1999
Since our last report the members of SASA met on December 3 and 4 and have
their next meeting scheduled for February 18 and 19, 1999. Mike Lewis was
able to attend the meeting on December 4, 1998.
I forgot to mention that SASA coordinated a valuable computing training
session on the Internet and e-mail as part of our October meeting hosted by
SUNY Utica-Rome. The training was conducted by Utica's Continuing
Education program using their hands-on computer lab facilities.
Our December meeting focused on the goals established for SASA. Each of
the goals has been assigned to a sub-group for review and for developing
specific objectives for each. We hope to complete this process this
semester so that we can begin to implement them for the 1999-2000 year.
Several of our members will be attending the Symposium on Residence Hall
Rehabilitation and Development in Saratoga next month. Our membership is
very interested in this subject because of the ties between room and board
on the individual campuses.
As always, SASA welcomes input form any interested member of SUBOA as we
work through our planning and visioning process. Please feel free to
contact any member of SASA with your thoughts and ideas.
